Then we have taken another step towards reaching our desired climate goals and now it will be an electric car as a company car. Our property owner has invested in a charging box where the car can be charged.
We are also discussing the possibility of connecting solar cells on the roof of the office and can thus become self-sufficient in electricity for both the office and the electric car. Of course, our customers who visit us can use the charging box if necessary. If you come to Accon Greentech AB, you should not stand with an empty battery on the way home.
It may sound a bit clichéd with this solution and there are counterarguments where you like to see batteries as a culprit stuck in another part of the chain. I totally agree with that and there is always a flip side to the coin. But if we don't make changes, you can't see that this part of developing batteries will get better in the future either.
We have seen a fantastic development in combustion engines in the last 10 years and the fuel consumption of a petrol car is down to the same level as a diesel car almost. Driving behind a car that is from the 50s-70s feels in the nose where you have a lot of unburnt fuel. If you drive behind a newer car, you can hardly feel anything anymore and it is clear that if you get improved technology, it will be better.
I think we will see a similar process with developing batteries so we choose to take the step now and we will see what the future shows.
